Kemppi is the global design leader of the arc welding industry. The company has its headquarters in Lahti, Finland.
The headquarters, located approx. 15 minutes from the Lahti city center, receives numerous client, collaborator, and supplier visits yearly. While most of Kemppi’s manufacturing happens elsewhere other than in the main building, Kemppi wanted to create a space where visitors can experience the brand and its products and solutions while visiting the headquarters.

An experience center with many purposes
The space is multifunctional including a strategically placed auditorium and a few meeting rooms in conjunction with it. The showroom introduces the full world of Kemppi in one experience. It has demos, physical items, products, the story of Kemppi history, all designed into a well working user journey.

One experience space for diverse audiences – a turnkey solution
While Kemppi’s products and solutions may seem quite complicated and distant to those who are not familiar with the industry, the experience center has something for everyone: it offers a birds-eye view on what Kemppi stands for in just one visit and visitors are also excited about the tangible and concrete use cases and demos of products and solutions. It serves a diverse audience of clients, collaborators, suppliers, internal audiences and students.

For the Kemppi experience center TAPAUS delivered a turnkey solution ranging from the design of the brand experience, spatial and stand designs, interaction design all the way to technical executions, constructions, and finishes.
Modularity brings lifespan
The Kemppi experience center was opened in 2023 and has been designed to be a modular space that Kemppi can update and upgrade as new products are launched, and new needs arise. The digital content is updatable, and the space allows for easy rotation as hero positions are taken on by new releases. The space will serve Kemppi and the visitors of the experience center for many years to come.
