Our client F-Secure recently separated their consumer and corporate security businesses, re-launching what used to be F-Secure Corporate Security as WithSecure™. The company wanted to introduce the new brand to existing customers, partners and the media with a truly spectacular and memorable event. The goal was to replace the one-way communication that’s typical to most cybersecurity events with something totally different and un-like anything people had ever experienced.
A physical and virtual unconference
SPHERE22 was a two-day unconference that was focused on networking and featured a stage-full of exciting and inspiring speakers.
The program was also designed to engage with viewers turning in virtually. This event wasn’t just streamable, it was a truly hybrid event where guests were hosted at Dance House Helsinki by Amel Gaily and virtually by Perttu Pölönen. In addition to the main event, there were also six side events where guests could dive deeper into a range of topics and evening parties that encouraged guests to network and connect.
And because WithSecure™ believes (and knows from experience) that cybersecurity challenges are best met together, we also created a community manifesto that everyone was able to help create. You can read the manifesto and experience the event in pictures here.
Fame and flattering comments
Cybersecurity has never been as topical as it is right now. SPHERE22 attracted over 50 international journalists to Helsinki and was widely covered by global media, which is a great foundation and incentive for creating another amazing event in 2023.
In the words of one guest, SPHERE22 was: ”One of the best if not the best events I have had the pleasure to participate in – hugely rewarding professionally and personally”.
